On behalf of the Prince George Urban Aboriginal Justice Society (PGUAJS), we extend our sincere congratulations to our valued partners - the BC First Nations Justice Council (BCFNJC) and the Prince George Indigenous Diversion Centre - on the grand opening of the Indigenous Diversion Centre, located on Lheidli T’enneh territory.
This milestone represents a powerful step forward in advancing culturally rooted, community-led approaches to justice throughout Northern British Columbia.
For nearly three decades, PGUAJS has been proud to deliver diversion, reintegration, and cultural support services through the Indigenous Justice Program (IJP). Our work, guided by Elders and carried out in partnership with the RCMP and community organizations, focuses on healing, accountability, and reconciliation.
We recognize that collaboration is essential to creating lasting change. By working together, sharing knowledge, and supporting one another, we continue to build pathways that honour both traditional values and community well-being.
We are honoured to walk alongside our partners in this meaningful work and look forward to strengthening outcomes for individuals and families across the North.
Congratulations on this inspiring and impactful achievement.
